Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. Her father is an Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother comes from Spanish as well as English ancestry. She was the first born of a family that included six children. Four of her siblings are from her previous marriage to Taylor's father. They lived within Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria part of London. Taylor Joy states that the move to England was very traumatic. She was not willing to study English and was hoping to return to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. When she reached the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to focus her full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actor from a young age. She realized her dream when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
